Meet the Founder and President of Blooming Buds Tutoring
Welcome to Blooming Buds Tutoring! My name is Sommer Schrader. I am the founder and lead teacher of Blooming Buds Tutoring. I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I am licensed to teach in the state of Indiana, and I have 7 years of classroom teaching experience! During the 24 - 25 school year, I worked in the SPED department at my school while I grew my business. Then spent the entire summer of 2025 tutoring local 2nd - 6th grade clients in reading, writing, and math. I have 120+ hours of training in Science of Reading practices, 2+ years of implementing those practices with fidelity, and I am also earning my Masters of Science in Educational Leadership, I will graduate in Summer of 2026!
The last thing students want to do when they get home is more school. At Blooming Buds Tutoring, I use a customized, game-based approach to learning. I work closely with students and their families to build lessons around things they are interested in learning about, and activities they like to do, while also strengthening their skills. I find great joy in thinking outside the box and creating confident learners!

Blossom Package
Perfect for students who need more
intensive support to meet their goals.
Family Academic Coaching
Parent/Guardian Literacy Coaching is a great for families who do not necessarily need or want tutoring services, but still want some additional support for their child and for themselves.
Small Group Package
Best for homeschool groups, or friends and family groups with similar aged children who need direct reading, writing, and/or math instruction.
