About
Parent/Guardian Academic Coaching is a great option for families who do not necessarily need or want tutoring services, but still want some additional support for their child and for themselves. This is ideal for for families who are starting their homeschool journey, or for families who want to provide better homework/project support for their child.
Depending on your needs Blooming Buds Tutoring can conduct an initial screening for your child, as well as analyze any data provided by you to create a personalized plan for your child. Alternatively, we can discuss what your child’s needs are and how you want to be able to support their growth. From there, coaching sessions would take place via phone call, Zoom, or pre-recorded videos. Blooming Buds Tutoring would provide instructional tips, direct you to resources or literature, talk about specific issues your child is facing, and give you access to printable and virtual materials to use with your child.

You can pay in one of three ways:
Pay for the entire package upfront.
Pay in weekly installments, or biweekly installments.
Fulfill invoices sent by Blooming Buds Tutoring (weekly)
Payments are accepted via website, Venmo, or Zelle.

Virtual sessions will be wherever you are!
In-person sessions will vary on location. We may be able to come to your home*, or we can meet at a neutral site, such as a public library branch!
*If sessions are held in your home, both parties (client and tutor) reserve the right to request a background check. Additionally, if there are pets in the home, you must be able and willing to sequester them (safely) for the duration of the session for the safety of the tutors.

Progress is monitored each session by the tutor, and then the data and notes are compiled into a Progress Report that is sent out weekly via email. Progress monitoring may look like a short paper-pencil/virtual quiz, or a verbal discussion rubric.

Blooming Buds Tutoring does not use one set curriculum. However, our tutors are trained in the Ortan-Gillingham approach to phonics (great for early readers or those who struggle with Dyslexia). We also have access to the UFLI Foundations Phonics Curriculum, and the CKLA Curriculum(Core Knowledge Language Arts).
Blooming Buds Tutoring is not about the materials we use, it is about the practices and methods we employ. Blooming Buds Tutoring is resourceful. We are constantly learning more through current research to adapt our practices to fit the needs of our students. We use a variety of educational resources to compile what we need to support student growth.
