Meet the Founder and President of Blooming Buds Tutoring
Welcome to Blooming Buds Tutoring! My name is Sommer Schrader. I am the founder and lead teacher of Blooming Buds Tutoring. I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Instructional Coaching. I am licensed to teach in the state of Indiana, and I have 7 years of classroom teaching experience! During the 24 - 25 school year, I worked in the SPED department at my school while I grew my business. Then spent the entire summer of 2025 tutoring local 2nd - 6th grade clients in reading, writing, and math. I have 120+ hours of training in Science of Reading practices, along with 2+ years of implementing those practices with fidelity.
Blooming Buds Tutoring had its one-year anniversary in the spring of 2026. We have served 25 families, and administered almost one-thousand engaging, customized sessions!
The last thing students want to do when they get home is more school. At Blooming Buds Tutoring, I use a customized, game-based approach to learning. I work closely with students and their families to build lessons around things they are interested in learning about, and activities they like to do, while also strengthening their skills. I find great joy in thinking outside the box and creating confident learners!

All sessions start at 30 minutes.
1:1 Tutoring
If your child is in need of support or enrichment in reading, writing, or math, this service will get them to where they need to be! Sign up to work with our tutors and your child will receive highly tailored 1:1 direct support 1-3 times a week!
Family Academic Coaching
Parent/Guardian Academic Coaching is a great for families who do not necessarily need or want tutoring services, but still want some additional support for their child and for themselves as they navigate school work and/or homeschooling.
Small Group Package
Best for homeschool groups, or friends and family groups with similar aged children who need direct reading, writing, and/or math instruction.
